....the preseason polls would come out and I would count to see where BYU ranked in the "also receiving votes" category ("Wow! #39 this year!") and then try to extrapolate at what point in the season we would crack the Top-25.

You're right.

I remember when BYU would score over 30 points a game and would almost always win.

I remember when BYU players received post-season awards.

I remember when I used to make fun of the University of Utah...okay, I still do but don't talk football.

I remember doing that as well. I would try to figure how many wins it would take to crack the rankings.

The last time BYU was really good was 2009. We have been average, to slightly above ever since and losing to the utes.
