I know nothing about NMSU except they went bowling last year. I assume they have a new head coach. That is everything I got to help choose.

If our 3rd easiest game is UMass we may win 2 games this year.

My fingers are crossed that Critchlow is 4th string and a future TE.

They were talking about him on KBYU today. Said he was a recent RM planned redshirt and go no reps. Had a week to prep for UNLV and won the game (in 2nd half did not throw a pass). UMASS had tape on him and saw he was a raw freshman and threw the kitchen sink at him and got turnovers. It was not a fair evaluation of him.

Physically he looks better this year and has a lot more reps. If he plays he should do much better.

And our O-line was HORRIBLE in that game. If we had an even average O-line we would have won that game. 5 sacks guys, 5 sacks.

So......................it's now not fair to evaluate the QB based on games where the defense has a chance to break down game film and identify his weaknesses?

:skeptic:

A freshman just off a mission without a chance to really learn the offense or only have about two weeks of reps in a two year period.

This came from former players on After Further Review. Perhaps they know what they are talking about. I never played football so I don't know much on the topic.

He did do the best of the QBs in the spring game so maybe he has improved.

Remember BYU's secondary has been giving up 70+% completion percentage for the last 2 years, so any results of QBs against that secondary is not necessarily saying much. While those who struggle with it are in fact bad.
