I'll admit that I'm taking some perverse joy out of what is happening in Columbus, OH today with Urban Meyer protecting a spouse abuser. I hope he, and anyone who knew about it, loses their job. I hope if any police knew about it, they lose their job as well.



I hope such things aren't happening at BYU and in Provo.

No, I actually get it. I've thought him to be a slippery eel for some time and it was tough to have him with my Buckeyes, but at the same time, dang, it's been, from a total football perspective, incredible to have his winning ways. Honestly, I don't think he's any dirtier than any of the other major coaches out there, but if he concealed this, then yes, he'll have to pay the price. I read the article on ESPN and I'm just not totally certain as to what the exact truth is.

I don't see how he should be held to a higher standard then law enforcement. Law enforcement didn't prosecute so why should he be expected to know more then them?

Title IX reporting guidelines don't apply to law enforcement. Totally different people, scenarios, and situations. And Head Football Coach shouldn't be making any decisions about guilt or ability to prosecute like law enforcement would be. For the record, I take no joy in something like this coming up.

If we suck as bad as we did last year and were still dirty, then we deserve to shut down the program and turn LaVell Edwards Stadium into a giant celery farm.

Does anyone know if law enforecment is involved against the assistant? He is now facing actual charges for his decade-long (at least) life of abuse towards his spouse? I hope Urban isn't the only one facing the music because of the assistant's actions.

I worry more about this now than I did under Bronco.



Not that I think KS is doing anything shady, but I see him being a bit higher on "protect my guys" and a little more lenient about accountability. And losing puts more pressure on.

Anyone read the project veritas piece on Meyer?
