Patterson to Tennessee?

Where there's smoke there's fire. I personally don't think Patterson would leave TCU a few months after signing a long-term contract there, but Tennessee is going to be getting VERY desperate to land a good coach before LOI day (three weeks from now) and Patterson did interview with them last year.

Wouldn't bother me, I think TCU would still be okay, maybe not great, but that's fine with me.

He JUST signed a 5 year extension, and he has said, he does not want to go anywhere, WHY WOULD HE LEAVE FOR, Tenn ?

From what I am hearing and reading, I think their is a much better chance that it will be AFA's Calhoun than Patterson. Calhoun was on the short list last year when Kiffin got it, and Tennessee really like his NFL background, and success at AFA. He had a great year again this year at AFA, which only helps. He is a different type of coach for the SEC and I think he would sell really well with some kids.

Wow, team meeting today at 5 p.m. Doesn't it seem like he'd go interview for the job again though if he were interested? 14 months ago was a long time ago.
