One of "best players" not coming back

Today on BYU SportsNation, Rose said the following about recruiting:



“...You are trying to replace one of your best players from the year before and that puts a lot of pressure but excitement on the returning guys, that they have opportunities.”



Childs?



Bryant?

I could see him being a very good graduate transfer addition to several Top 25 teams.

This in a nutshell is why at this stage in my life I dont care about basketball.

We have a lot better chance with those two. Are we always going to be almost there?

If we are going to recruit one or two and done athletes, can we at least get better ones?

So, he's staying forever then?

I'll follow up my last comment by saying that I really like Rose and think he's a great coach, but he's got to change the way he's interacting with the team because losing so much talent every year is killing the team.

Losing players has become the norm.



I like Rose, but I think his days are done. Time for BYU to start looking for another coach.



We wouldn't "lose" anything. We're already not getting anything.

I think it's a 75% chance Yoeli returns, and 100% chance Bryant is gone.

This thread seems like a bit of a red herring. Without context, the quote to me sounds more like Rose is making a general comment in regards to how rosters turn over from year to year rather than speaking about any specific person.

Not trying to speak for Sno, the OP, but this comment came during an interview in which Rose was asked if Yoeli Childs was returning next season.

Rose was being asked about out-going transfers this offseason and recruiting for next season.
