utah-UNM: lobos won

I'll be happy for utah to keep losing, but I think unm was grossly overrated. 0-3 will basically guarantee themselves out of contention. Utah has looked pretty athletic, but they can't put anything together I think 7 losses and TCU have proven that for them.





With over 1 minute left Lobos were up 15. Game in hand. BUT....Utah had no urgency or fight. They just dribbled the ball out, and then when there was only 15 they pushed it and missed...A small piece of evidence that Boylen is lost and his players just do whatever.

I think UNM is playing against him well by bringing a fake and then going hard for lay-ins. Fredette destroyed Beaker last year by similar play. BYU will play similarly against them.



I do want to be the first to say that Haws-Davies will soon be a household name like Stockton to Malone, but instead of car lot slogans, it'll be food storage or something like that.

And even THAT comparison might not do justice to the obviousness of this thread title

was hoping the lobos would win. They need some credibility for when we show up and stomp 'em.

But remember, you can't teach height. I'll take a 7'3" RM guy any day and take a shot at bulking him up and teaching the guy the game. I don't think Lurp (a name my daughter gave Nevill) looked so good his freshman year and he turned out to be very tough to defend and shoot against.

Get your humor, but with Haws not running the point, I don't think you'll have a lot of Haws to Davies.



It's just awesome that we can't even detect that we lost a player the caliber of Lee Cummard. Incredible! To have these two freshmen be such an integral part of the team is awesome. The other eight coaches in the MWC have to just be so disappointed in the future of BYU BB.

And if Haws goes on a mission and Davies doesn't then they're only going to have one more year together and that's if Haws doesn't red-shirt post-misison.
