BYU down 2 early. Falcons hitting the 3.

BYU is holding AF to 3 pointers and BYU is rolling at the moment up 22-16 after 2 fredette FTs.

Derek Brooks has nearly doubled his season average (5.7) with 7 minutes left in the first half.

Fredette not slowed down at all it seems. 2-3 shooting, has missed 2 fts though.

of AFAs 8 made FGs, 5 are 3s

Anyone know Miles FT%? what a difference a year makes.

Miles has improved. I'd like to see JT move around a bit more on D, he likes to sit and watch 3s get hit. I've seen lots of hands trying to grab balls that may be causing us to fall a step behind our positioning, hopefully they'll start to take smarter attempts at stealing. Davies for instance has played smart on D so far.

There's something really irritating about AF. No matter how bad they are I still hate them during play. They can't play regular ball, all they have are luck throw bad shots up and hope for the best at 3 land. It's been working great for them. That's our struggle, most teams miss that many attempts, but AF loves to hit them against us.

but as much as you'd think the AF 3ptr with five seconds in the half was a momentum shifter,a simple tavernari 3 with 1 second takes it right back.



What a great way to end the half.



AF is keeping opponents to just over 60 points a game scoring. We're on pace to break 70 which you'd expect from a top 10 NCAA offensive team. that's us..hmmm....yeeeaaaahh..

I like JT a lot as a 6th, but when he's not hot he doesn't quite get it. I think this timeout is to let him know he should dish out on quick plays, or if they've had the ball a while to take surer shots.

Davies is such a pimp. He's playing conservative too. I can see that he's got a lot more to offer, as the team gets more confident in position passes to him, we're going to see some King James dunks from him.

He just slammed the ball out of the arena. At about the 5:20 mark in the 2nd, he's got some crazy blocks today. Great shots too, several have just rimmed out though, so he's got some finishing to work on.

Davies will be great. I'll take a double double from a freshman anytime!
