I'm so biased because my dad often did business with their athletic department for years. Plus, they are in Phoenix so they would be close to me. So yes, put them in the WCC.

I can't see the WCC adding them until they shed the for-profit status.

Grand Canyon University is a private, non-profit, Christian university in Phoenix, Arizona. Based upon student enrollment, Grand Canyon University is currently the largest Christian university in the world.

Grand Canyon was established by the Arizona Southern Baptist Convention on August 1, 1949, in Prescott, Arizona as Grand Canyon College. In 2000, the university ended its affiliation with the Southern Baptist Convention. Suffering financial and other difficulties in the early part of the 21st century, the school's trustees authorized its sale in January 2004 to California-based Significant Education, LLC, making it the first for-profit Christian college in the United States. Following that purchase, the university became the first and only for-profit to participate in NCAA Division I athletics. In 2018, the university received approval from its accreditors to return to non-profit status, which became official on July 1, 2018. Although the educational arm of the college is non-profit it still directly operates alongside the for-profit Grand Canyon Education Inc that bundles services for the university to operate. The university president, Brian Meuller, also serves as the CEO of Grand Canyon Education Inc.

Bigger than BYU? Or are we not Christian?

It looks like its neck and neck with BYU Idaho for fall enrollment numbers, and about a third of BYU Idaho students aren't even attending classes in the fall, because it's their "off semester". So it should say "third largest Christian University"

I think GCU is the largest when you factor in the 70K online students. Liberty has a substantial online enrollment as well.

What is BYU-Pathways' enrollment?

GCU total enrollment = 90,500

BYU total enrollment = 33,517

GCU's numbers get a huge boost from their online bachelor degree offerings and 70,000 enrollees.

If you wrap up BYU Idaho, BYU Hawaii, BYU Pathways and their online bachelor offerings, BYU would top out, but unfortunately those are not actually part of BYU -- they, along with BYU in Provo are under the CES umbrella.

So CES probably is the largest Christian post-secondary education organization, but BYU is not.
