Looks like the Jammer will be in street clothes yet again.

As someone who has had mono while trying to maintain some level of physical fitness, I have zero problem with Jimmer taking it easy until his body is ready to come back. I couldn't run again for a month after I was diagnosed even though I had been doing 40 miles/week when I got sick. Mono sucks, take it easy Jimmer and take your time. (Just be sure to be 100% by Jan 23)

I hope he just rests until we hit SDSU and NMU on the road. We go to Air Force but then we're home against CSU and Wyoming.

Man, this kid really is sick...

He needs to just lie low. We can manage without for the next couple of weeks. Would actually do the team some good.

My wife ran for BYU and got mono. Took her nearly 2 months to get her strength back up to the point where she could just run and another month to get back to competing level.

My biggest concern is going to be Jimmer's conditioning when he gets back. If he doesn't get back by 15th of Feb or so, I'm not sure he can get back in full game shape by the conference and NCAA tournaments.

Right now, we just need Jimmer to get better. I agree with above posts that we are good without him for a couple of games or weeks, but the rest of the team can do well without him, but I want him to get better. No sense of going out there, collasping on the floor, and cause further damage to yourself. Life is bigger than Basketball right now for Jimmer, and may God Bless him all of his life!

Agreed. I don't want Jimmer to try to come back before he's fully healthy and has mono completely behind him. His body is sick and he's to let it recover. Take your time Jimmer.

Not entirely true. The blog says he is dressing and medically cleared to play, but that whether he actually plays or not is a game-time decision.

Whether it's his decision or the coaches' decision is unclear.

Well, if he's at the game he'd better be dressed. They have some strict anti-nudity laws in Colorado...

scoring with mono... not bad.

But the 3-5 from the charity strike clearly shows that he's still hurtin'...
