Mars"Kori Gaines, a DB from Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga., has started since his sophomore season on the varsity team, and runs a 4.4 40-time.
Blair Tushaus, who hails from Scottsdale, Ariz., and played his prep football at Notre Dame Prep, is rated the 14th best center in the country by Scout.com. This national recognition was noticed by Arizona State and Nevada, who also pursued Tushaus.
Alani Fua from Westlake Village, Calif., played outside linebacker for Oaks Christian High School. He is reportedly slated to end up playing DE or LB for BYU. His brother plays at Pac-10 school Stanford as a DT. Fua was also recruited by Ohio State among other schools.
Drew Phillips, who prepped at Boaz High School in Alabama, runs a 4.39 in the 40 from his RB position. Phillips also threw for 222 yards and four touchdowns as a QB out of the wildcat formation his senior year. Schools who recruited Phillips include Alabama and Michigan among others.
Jordan Afo, a DT from Cottonwood High School, in Salt Lake, is ranked 84th by Scout.com in his position. Afo has miraculously recovered from a broken back he suffered from doing a back flip at a house party he attended last year. Afo was recruited by Utah, Oregon State and Washington, among other schools.
Jacob Hannemann, who prepped locally at Lone Peak High School in Highland, played WR and DB for the Knights. Hannemann also lettered in baseball.
Toloaâi Ho Ching, who played high school football for the Alta Hawks in Sandy, is an OLB who is rated 52nd at the position in the country. He said he will most likely serve a full-time mission before he enrolls at BYU.
Joshua Quezada, the latest commit to the program, prepped at La Habra High School in California. The RB was nicknamed âThunderâ by his high school teammates. Quezada ran for more than 1,600 yards and 20 touchdowns in both his junior and senior years of high school."
