Roster review - this year's seniors and other trivia

Here is a look at those listed as seniors on the official BYU roster page:



OFFENSE

The biggest thing that jumps out at me here is this includes the entire starting interior offensive line. All these players put in significant playing time.



SPECIAL TEAMS

Corey Edwards K

Gavin Fowler Holder/DB

Jonny Linehan P



Linehan has been the punter for a couple seasons now. Edwards is listed as starter but seems to trade off kickoffs with Mikkelsen (JR). Fowler is entrenched as the holder on place kicks after recovering from ACL tears in each of his knees during his career. I've also seen him described as a junior since he could have a year of eligibility still after missing time for injuries. Though he is also a grad student at this point so I'm not sure what next year will hold for him.



DEFENSE

Several guys here are big players who will surely be missed. These guys below are also seniors on defense but don't appear to be in the main defensive rotation.

Returning missionaries in 2018 include Devin (DL returns Oct 2017), Uepi (DL returns Oct 2017), and Jackson (LB returns Aug 2018).

It's scary to think of our defense without those players.

The good news is we only lose Trinnaman at the skill positions and we get to look forward to the return of all the others. The bad news is we lose Trinnaman at the skill positions and we get to look forward to the return of all the others. I know that is harsh, probably too harsh, but right now do we even have one playmaker to be excited about? I wonder.

I am not so sure....We will really miss Warner, I agree, but the others? I'm not so sure...

So basically no seniors on offense contributing (besides our sucky Oline)?



And no one besides Warner that can't be replaced tomorrow with someone on the two deep?



But I thought we had such a deep cupboard that Bronco left us with???
