Easy mixup to make. Two players who really should be playing, but for some reason aren't because of ineptitude of staff/HCO.

Headline should read Riley Burt is struggling to secure playing time at any one position. If he stepped up and won the spot, he wouldn't be getting moved from here to there and back again. Spinning it as it is bad on the coaches is looking for things to justify your feelings towards the coaches and twisting it towards that end.

Exactly. The coaches have a history of not jerking people around.



I'm just glad this isn't a basketball thing, because the OP would possibly be burning Dave Rose effagies and demanding a coaching change.

The only thing I have to go off of on whether this kid is any good is the media reports that he was 1A in fall ball behind Squally and the few big runs he ripped off a couple years ago under Anae's scheme. Just from that, he should, at least, get a carry or 2 in a game to see what he can do. It isn't as if our RB's have been dominating or anything.

Riley Burt has actually not appeared in a game since Portland State where he went stat-less. I'm not sure about this 1A behind Canada stuff--but the way things have played out, Tolutau is the clear and obvious #1 now that he is healthy and they are searching for a #2. Canada has had some moments but seems very inconsistent. Dye has been getting a few reps lately. There is opportunity there to be seized.
