Unforced Error at BYU HS Coaches Clinic

Today is BYU's annual High School Coaches clinic.



Unfortunately this morning an unnamed administrator kicked the team and all the coaches and guests out of the IPF so that a soccer class (not the soccer team--a PE soccer class) could use the field because of the weather.



I don't know who is to blame -- the athletic department/football staff, or the general university administration, but that's not the impression BYU is hoping to make with these coaches as they try to build in-roads for recruiting.

I doubt that a PE soccer class would even have access to the IPF at Alabama or Ohio State.

Ugh, that's embarrassing.

If I were Sitake I would walk them over to the new practice gym or the MC and say have a nice practice. There is no reason they couldn't do whatever they wanted in a gym or even in a large room. So I have to take this one with a grain of salt. I can't see them bumping something like this. I imagine they could bump kids in the field house that are playing pickup games but that is about it.

It looks like it is mostly media guys who are "salty" about it. Who is this coach dropping the "I paid ALMOST $50 to be here" card. lol
