CNN polled folks about Trump's speech last night.



72% said Trump's economic policies are moving the country in the right direction.

70% say his Terrorism policies are good for the country.

64% say his Tax policies are in the right direction.

62% say his Immigration policies are in the right direction.

61% say his Health Care policies are heading in the right direction.

About 70% (7/10) say Trump's speech made them feel more optimistic about the country.

Good numbers. I did not listen to the speech but the market was very happy today including my portfolio. It was a good day.

There must have been a lot of disappointment among the CNN staff.

There are several points that can be made about Trump vs his detractors and political enemies.

1. They underestimate Trump and dismiss him - constantly. Trump proves them wrong - regularly.

2. Trump likes to win. He was an inexperienced politician 18 months ago - but learning quickly. He's evolving.



The speech Trump gave to the joint Congress on Tuesday night is part of his evolution. He hit a home run. Case in point - You don't build a $10 billion empire in a tough NY real estate market by being a fool.
