Mars* Bronco's goal is 10+ wins next year.
* Uona Kaveinga is enrolled at BYU and practiced with the team yesterday.
* Linebacker Aveni Leung-Wai is trying to get academically eligible to re-join the team in spring. So is cornerback Garrett Nicholson, but for the fall. RM Austyn Jorgensen, a scholarship player, is also having to try to re-gain admission for unknown reasons.
* Bronco is worried about replacing his senior starting center this coming season.
* OL Jason Speredon will likely still miss spring camp but should be back in time for fall.
* He says the QB will run more next year, but will not incorporate any wildcat formations.
* Joshua Quezada is officially in school now as well.
* Bronco says that BYU is 3 scholarships over their limit now (before the losses of Taufi and Afutiti and the addition of Kaveinga?), but has 2 active offers still on the table (Heimuli and Jamora? Butorac?).
* Bronco says that he wants to name a starter at QB after spring ball, but that the position will remain open for Munns to compete for. Munns arrives after the end of spring ball.
* He says Heaps may be allowed to talk to the media as a freshman, but that he isn't going to start unless he fully earns it on the field first.
* The school is still waiting to hear if senior DE Vic So'oto has got an extra medical year of eligibility back.
* Bronco doesn't know fully who will go on missions and who will stay, yet.
* He expects to lose an assistant coach this off-season, and maybe as many as 3.
* Coach Mendenhall exercises at home early every morning. He says without that and his other calming daily routines (scripture study and prayer?), he would be unable to bear the stresses of coaching.
* Spring ball starts March 15. The spring game (first in two years!) is scheduled for April 10.
