No. BYU basketball this season, sadly has underperformed. While Gonzaga has out-performed. The game should be interesting - for a while. In the end, Gonzaga's victory will humble the Cougs. I wish we were more competitive.

Highly doubtful. Gonzaga crushed SMC and we couldn't even hang with SMC.



I would have thought losses to SCU and SD sufficient for humbling the team, but I suppose not. Perhaps a loss to Gonzaga will make the team and staff hungry.

Yes, we have a shot. This team is much better at home than on the road. Rose has been competitive vs. Gonzaga in the past. I'm predicting that Gonzaga will win, but it isn't completely far fetched that we could make it happen.

Gonzaga will win by no less than 20...

I just hope we can hang with them and make it interesting. Even coming close to a close game would give me warm fuzzies.

Been a tough year for you folks....don't think it's going to get better on Thursday....Defense travels...been a Zag fan since 95....this is the most well rounded talented Zag TEAM I've ever seen....Williams-Goss does not get the press he deserves....he may be the best guard in the country....unflappable.....and Karnowski has been a wall in the middle....the top 8 of this TEAM will stand up to any 8 in the country....ranking doesn't mean a thing to these Zags....they're focused with all eyes and thoughts on BYU.....it's the Cougars that are in the bulls-eye not the Zags....Zags have one thing in mind....winning...anybody can be beat but to beat this Zags TEAM is going to take a supreme effort....don't think your fellas can bring that for 40 minutes....if they do they have a chance to make history....hope for a good game ...no injuries to all..

Zags are a great team, at the start of the year I actually thought they might be a little down from some of the early games I watched them play, but they are one of the best coached teams in the country, if not the very best. It's a pleasure being in the same conference as them.

I'm over this BYU squad. Zags by 30. Lol

I know the Zags are supposed to be good, but that was just an embarrassing half for BYU. BYU's not playing bad defense but everything is dropping for Gonzaga anyway, while BYU can't get anything to go in on the other end.

The Zags won the tip-off and scored :20 into the game. They've never looked back and BYU has never threatened (to even make it a game). The Zags have a complete game and are stacked. BYU is still missing pieces and underperforming with what they have. As they say - there's always next year.

BYU making it a game with 1:30 left to play, 6 point lead for the Zags.

Definitely a better second half. This game only confirms my feeling that this team is the biggest waste of potential I've ever seen at BYU.

Nice fight by the cougars in half 2. I'm leaning more and more towards joining the wagon of being done with Rose. Just one example: Who coaches their players to let 10 plus seconds run off the clock multiple times in the final 2 minutes before fouling? I know we can also likely get worse with a new coach, but we are never going to break through the ceiling it feels like.

We need a coach who can get this talented team to gel together.

Cougs fall by 10, didn't have much business being in this game but made it exciting for a few minutes.

I'm still willing to give Rose a little more time but there needs to be a complete shakeup in the assistant coaches at the very least.

Showed well against #1 in the land. Gonzaga will throttle a lot of teams this year.

I'm just worried that the coaches/team are going to come away from this game thinking, "Man, having Nick wouldn't made the difference last night." Instead, I hope they're realizing, "Gee, maybe Nick being limited was part of why we were as successful as we were last night. "
