BYU volleyball beats #2 ranked UC Irvine 3-1

I haven't seen the team play this year. How do they match up to previous years?

They beat #8 UCLA and now play #9 CSUN for the title.



Last year they went to the national playoff and lost in the first round and ended ranked around #7 if I remember right.

How do the #1 and #2 teams meet up in a playoff before the championship? Sorry, Answered my own question, it's a invitational tournament, not a NCAA tournament.



Also, what was the penalty that BYU received for booster violations (the whole bike incident)?

What bike incident? Were one of our players caught peddling a boosters bike?

Wow, I originally thought it was just a bike for transport that got the booster (and BYU) in trouble.

Lost 3-0 to Pepperdine. That has been their history this year, win one then lose one. I guess they can beat anyone but it will be tough to win the championship that way.

Beat USC again tonight 3-0. Always good to beat USC. This moves us a half game in front of Hawaii around 4th place in conference.

Make that 8 in a row! I think the Cougs are peaking at the right time. They're looking good, and I think we may see them in the final 4 again this year!
