It's tough news for the kid, but the only reason anyone heard about it is because of who his dad is. He didn't even crack the 3-deep this season as a RS Jr.

Especially since it was his dad who mentioned it on Twitter.

regardless, he's still a cougar and deserves our support not not criticism, these backups work just as hard to be game ready and in most cases it's never appreciated or recognized.

Agreed. I feel for the kid. He has been with the program for a while. As a DB with what will be 2 reconstructed ACLs and maybe a year of eligibility left (maybe he applies for a medical redshirt and tries to pick up another?). It might be time to start considering life after football. As a broadcast journalism major in his 4th year of schooling (2011, 2014-2016) he might be close to graduation by now and may look to an internship or something that could help him launch a career. I do wish him the best of luck in his recovery.

Agreed. These guys work just as hard as anyone else. Ruining a knee is tragic, and I hope his life moves ahead in every way.
