CougarCorner Prediction Game IS BACK!!!!!!

I'm very pleased to announce that I have finished the initial programming of a new and completely redesigned CougarCorner Prediction game. I have been rushing to get it finished in time to allow anyone who wants to join to do so, so there may be some quirks and bugs in it as we go forward. In fact, I haven't even done the scoring part yet, but I'll have that figured out soon after the season starts.



This is a whole new design as I said and you have to setup an account on that site. It's simple and easy. Once you've setup your account you will by default be a part of the Default group, you can create and join as many groups as you like as well. I suggest joining the CougarCorner group. If you want to create a group for friends or family, feel free to do so.

Just a note -- even if you are a CougarCorner member, you will have to register as a new user for the prediction game.

Correct, the two systems do not share user databases at all. You'll need to register there as well as join the CougarCorner group once you get logged in. There is a button in the upper left to JOIN GROUP and then CougarCorner is one of the public options.

What did you do for the username / email ? Don't share password :)

Sweet. I like the look. I had some trouble getting to the bottom questions. I shrunk my screen size to get there. I like the email reminder feature as I tend to forget.

I've added some debugging info so that it should give you some info to send to me if you try to create an account but can't. So please let me know.

This is great! I joined cougar corner and I also created a private group for my extended family.



I had some issues scrolling up and down on my iphone when I was making my arizona game predictions, but it worked in the end.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll work in the upcoming weeks to make it more mobile friendly but I wanted to get the main version out before the season started.

I think there may have been an issue if you chose not to have a reminder email sent to you before each game. I don't think it was putting that in the database correctly, but I've updated it to handle that now.

It's working now. Weird that it didn't accept "HawkwingLovestheUtes" as a password.

Looks like a lot of people are forgetting to join the official cougar corner group

Everyone is part of the "Default" group, but Hawkwing suggested that we all join the separate, but still public, "CougarCorner" group.



I have family members who are joining a private group I created, so they will also be part of the "Default" group, along with a lot of other people that the CougarCorner website users won't be familiar with.

I registered but it is still giving me problems logging in. Any suggestions? I'd really like to get in a participate from Game 1 tonight.

When do you plan to post the results of the predictions each week?

I haven't been able to post the results yet because I'm actually still in the middle programming the scoring system, and I was driving back from AZ yesterday. I should have this weeks results posted soon, and going forward I'm hoping to have results done within a few hours after each game.

Results have been posted for week 1!



Congrats to all those that did well. Make sure you get your picks in before Friday night at Midnight for the Utah game!
