Yes, and we aren't getting in. Things keep piling up against BYU at this point. Like others have said before, the longer this takes the less likely we are to get an invite. I think the whole lgtb thing is stupid, but also don't agree with the church's stance on homosexuality either.



That being said, every organized religion has their black marks throughout history. LDS is just the newest kid on the block for people to remember.

Just kidding. From piecing together what several have said and trying to weight the credibility I really think the two winners of this are going to be BYU and Houston.

No one knows what the Big 12 really thinks about any of this. Everyone is just making assumptions.

That's not how I interpreted the line. My read was that we would know by October at the latest:

This is just the drop dead date the conference stated several weeks ago. Personally, i think it's stupid to telegraph that to the other leagues because it's an open invitation to the other P5s to swoop in and take teams before the B12 has done anything. The "GOR" they have isn't as solid as they want everyone to think it is. And if enough teams get picked off fast enough the conference dies because if they get under 6 it gets disbanded under NCAA rules and there is no conference left to enforce a GOR.

IMHO, this is a signal that a decision has been made. They are using video conferences so that they can reveal the decisions confidentially without creating a paper trail subject to FOIA requests. Most will get the "it's not you, it's me" line, but a few will receive their informal invite and lawyers' contact information will be exchanged so that further discussions can be guarded by the attorney-client privilege.



Meanwhile, on a parallel track, the TV contract is being reworked, and only when everyone is on the same page--conference, expansion schools, and tv networks, will everything be inked and announced.
