Texas Tech vs. Notre Dame

Now I don't want to compare apples to oranges here, but if Texas Tech wins their bowl game does that invalidate any and all arguments Notre Dame had about NOT playing theirs?



The way I see it, both teams lost their head coach and offensive mastermind. The only point i can see is that Notre Dame is afraid of the losing season (6-7 vs 6-6) which TT doesn't have to worry about. But for my money, if you're afraid of losing, you shouldn't have started the season in the first place.



Mostly I'm still just chapped that ND feels they are too good to play in a 'lesser' bowl game.

The difference is that Notre Dame refused invitations to play. Texas Tech had already committed to playing in the Alamo Bowl before they fired their coach.



Tech fired Leach to save money. I doubt they wanted to get sued by the Alamo Bowl and Michigan State for backing out of the game at the last minute.
