EM_PumaHow useless of a stat is that? Not blaming you, but I saw this tweeted. I just don't understand the need anyone has to favor one team or another at this point. Not officially.

FidoUseless stat? It's just a betting line that has to start somewhere. The line will move of course depending on where the money starts getting bet to put the house in the best position to make money.
But the part I found interesting is that a 1.5 point separation basically says the early prediction from those who worry about this kind of thing for a living view this game as a toss up.
