We played 7 bowl teams - 5 have won...we beat one..TCU left

I'm starting to rethink my best season ever of this decade; maybe not the best team/players, but most successful = 2009/10 (throw in the recruiting class and this is a no brainer)



I doubt in our history that we've had 7 bowl teams on our schedule, beaten 5 of them, and the other 2 win also... just nuts

I wonder what the chances are of any of OU, FSU, or AFA sneaking into the top 25.



I think OU is a fairly sure bet, as they were receiving votes in the last poll and beat a top 25 team. FSU beat a top 25 team, but they only finished 7-6. Air Force spanked a fringe top 25 team, so I think they'll end up with some votes.



If OSU stays ranked and OU sneaks in, BYU will have beaten 3 ranked teams (Utah, OU, and OSU) and lost to a top 15 team (TCU win or lose).

This "ranking" business is kind of like global warming. Even when the planet is cooling, it is still warming. So even if the big BCS teams lose, they are still better than the teams they lost to. Hard to win against that logic.

I think AFA will, just for the beat down they put on a ranked team.

BYU played 7 games against bowl teams in 2007 (5-2) and 1992 (4-3). Five is the most victories BYU has had over bowl teams in one season. Max Hall has TWELVE wins over bowl teams as a starter.

Well done 'rasta. It also means with FSU and Wyoming winning all finished with winning records. So BYU beat 5 teams with winning records this season. What is the best BYU has ever done? I would think this is as good as it gets for the team. Another reason why this team is the best of the decade imo.



This doesn't mean the team with the most talent, but the best team.

Actually in 2007 we played 6 bowl teams not 7(we played UCLA twice, once reg season and once in bowl game)

Of those 6, only 4 won their bowl games (utah, tcu, tulsa, new mexico)



The difference this year aside from the fact that we played 7 different bowl teams, is that all of our (bowl team) opponents have won their bowl games.... that's what makes this historically significant and unique; it's mind boggling that every regular season bowl team we played has won their final game of the year.

In 2007 we played some good teams, but they didn't all win their bowl games.
