Cruz: "Make the sand glow in the Middle East" and "move US embassy to Jerusalem."

Unfortunately I don't think there is anything Trump could say that is worse than threatening nuclear war in the middle east, though he may give it a shot. Cruz's foreign policy might even be worse than anything Clinton or Sanders have said given his wish to "make the sand glow" in Syria and Iraq.

It's a stupid remark. But you don't need nukes to make the sand glow.

First Cruz said no ground troops to Syria, now he says we have to listen to the "experts" at the Pentagon who recommend sending ground troops to Syria. The day Trump said he would advise himself rather than listen to the morons among the military elite was the day I actually started to think there was a tiny chance he might improve foreign policy. I don't think he would but at least there is a chance.



I'll take a man, no matter how clumsy verbally, who has a bit of restraint when it comes to the death of 4 million people in the Middle East over a man willing to change in the wind and threaten the lives of millions more civilians there simply to placate the war mongers among the Republican Party.

When he says the Iraq war, Syria, etc are a disaster. When he says he'll be even handed in negotiations between the Jewish state and Palestine. When he says he won't needlessly be belligerent toward Russia. Those are all evidence of restraint. He won't arm "moderate rebels" in Iraq or Syria (as the military brass are again proposing and which lead to those arms being taken by ISIS) or send ground troops to Syria and Iraq as Cruz now equivocates and say he will do at the behest of the generals in the Pentagon who have lead us down this path for the past 25 years.



When Trump says he will put America First, that is restraint. Meanwhile Hillary Clinton and Ted Cruz are out there trying to show who is the greater buffoon in Israel, Libya, Egypt, Somalia, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Kurdistan, Afghanistan and Ukraine, not to mention Korea, Taiwan, and Japan.

That's not restraint. Trump was very much FOR the war at the time. He is once again denying the obvious in another failed attempt to change his laughable history.

That is restraint. Trump isn't on record before the Iraq war, but immediately after the invasion he began to criticize it. Even if you think he did support it, realizing you screwed up and choosing different tactics afterward is restraint.



Cruz and Clinton on the other hand, haven't seem to learned any restraint even after 25 years of war in the middle east.

Trump is certainly within his right to shame the delegates into voting for him if that's what their constituents believed they would do. He'd be within his rights to offer them money to change their minds. The system is stupid but he's still using the system. There isn't anything wrong with saying that's a terrible system.



I don't think either party should be able to use the state's voting system to hold a vote for their private party.

How do you feel about Trump's surrogates publishing the home addresses of CO delegates? How do you feel about Trump's campaign threatening violence at the convention? How do you feel about Trump's men threatening to hunt down delegates in Cleveland and announce what hotel rooms they're staying in?



Trump is a thug. If you think Trump will be for you, just wait until he can bring the full force of the federal government against those who have wronged him. Trump is a business tyrant. I don't need his tyranny in the White House.



Trump is a corrupt as the get. He has no values. No morals. No conscience or compass. He is ok with bribery. He is ok with corruption. As long it benefits him. Anything that benefits anyone else is entirely tangential and unintentional. Trump's presidency will be about one thing: Trump.

I have no problem with Trump or his representatives giving away the contact information of the delegates. Everyone who voted (and those who didn't) in the Republican Primary has the right to contact their representative and persuade them to vote how they want. That is the whole purpose of the party. If people don't want that they shouldn't be delegates.



Trump has never threatened violence. He's said there could be violence and I think he's correct. People are angry at the people who claim to represent them, whether they're elected to a government office or to be a delegate at the Republican convention. I was at the Arizona convention in 2012 which very nearly became violent when Romney lost delegates his supporters thought should have gone to him. I don't doubt Trump's assessment.

Yep, if you disagree with Trump, it means you're a Democrat. Of course, if we were Democrats we would more closely align with Trump's real political opinions, positions and philosophy.
