More Lies from the BCS

The BCS set up this website: The Playoff Problem (http://playoffproblem.com/index.htm). Nothing but lies and PR from the BCS people. I particularly liked this lie. From their Q&A session.



"Is the BCS fair to the Non-Automatic Qualifier (AQ) conferences?



Every conference has an opportunity to earn annual automatic qualification into the BCS. At the beginning of every season, every team has an opportunity to earn a spot in a BCS game, including the National Championship Game. In fact, the BCS has increased the access for all teams into major bowl games and teams from conferences without annual automatic qualification have played in the BCS in four of the last five years. Also, every conference is proportionally represented on the Harris poll and the coaches poll, which comprise two-thirds of the BCS Standings formula."



This is simply not true. Because if this was true both TCU and Boise would have earned automatic bids this year. Their answer is incorrect. Six conferences have a chance to earn an automatic qualification and five conferences have a chance to earn one automatic qualification among them.

The whole site and its writing come across to me as arrogant and whiny. It aggravates me because they just don't see what's wrong with them . . . kinda like the :utard: basketball team.
