Get out of the damn zone!

They can't close out on the shooters. This defense is pathetic. Coach rose never has this team ready to play in the tournament.

Maybe you need to alter your expectations. This is a Dave Rose team which means they don't win conference tournaments and they don't play a lot of man on man defense. It is what it is, and it makes me want to pull my hair out sometimes, but it gets the job done generally.

I know that's what to expect but it's so frustrating to watch. It gets the job done until they play teams with equal talent and then they get outplayed. I don't know they also have the bad losses they have now when they never had them in the mwc. Take away the losses to Harvard, Pacific and Portland and they're probably a shoe in for the tournament.

You can add Long Beach State to that list as well. It is what it is. I got over my angst with this schizo of a team a long time ago and hope for the best.

That is the trouble with having a continual green light to shoot. He needs a better awareness of situations. Like when you finally get a great stop by busting your butt as a team is not the time to jack up a 3 with a 5 second possession.

This defense is terrible. They can't rebound and are leaving shooters wide open. How do you leave wiltjer wide open in the corner for a 3!? This team doesn't even know the basic fundamentals of defense they teach you in junior high.
