Awesome performance by Collinsworth. Commentators made a good point that his triple double record could stand for quite some time because most players who have the skill/potential to break it won't stick around long enough to do so (one and done'ers). Loved seeing the ball movement. We hit 11 3s but I didn't feel that they were just jacked up. Lots of back door cuts. Defense was a bit lazy at times in the second half but overall solid.

Not to knock on KC, but this is good and bad. Good because his record will stand for a long time, or never be beaten. Bad because he most likely will not translate at the NBA level or he would have made the jump already. Hope I'm wrong on the bad part.

Actually he was just coming into his own last year with triple doubles and had a serious injury just before that. He really needed to show he had a jump shot in order to build confidence in taking him as a guard in the draft. He tries to prove he had one early this season and failed miserably, hurting the team some. He has gotten back to doing what he does well and is exceptional at it. I think he can play in the NBA and I think someone will give him a shot. A jump shot can be mastered still but all the rest that he brings to a team are pretty valuable.

Do I think a team gives KC a shot - yes

Is he drafted? very late round if he is

Will he get playing time as a pro - not much

Is this the worst thing that could happen to KC - nope



He's been phenomenal for BYU and will obviously be missed next year. I have a hard time believing that he will be able to play the point at the pro level. I think he can't play the 2 because he needs to have a jump shot of some sort which he has shown again this year that he does not have. He's a little on the short side for a 3 but this would be the position that makes the most sense for KC. However the NBA is turning more and more into a scorers game (which is why Kawhi leonard is such a hot commodity, he actually learned how to shoot/score while having rest of the package already put together) and if Haws and fredette are having difficulty making a NBA roster, I see little hope for KC. KC is not a PF or a Center. Combine all of this with the fact that he will be 25 when the 2016 NBA season kicks off and his window for pro ball is closing very quickly.



It's true that his injuries led him to being at BYU for a long time and that allowed him to break the triple-double record. I'm not sure which is better for BYU, KC being healthy and dominating for 2 years and going to the NBA or unhealthy KC who has now broke a lot of BYU records and NCAA records.



Other than that, I do agree that he has the measurables and some very honed skills that he would bring to a team. And I certainly wish him all the success in the world.
