It was a good day for Utah HS football players

By my count, 117 of them signed NLI with teams in various divisions. BYU took in 11, power conferences teams acquired 14 (Utah had 7) and another 13 went to G5 schools (USU 7). In the past 5-6 years, an average of 27-28 signed with FBS schools.



One year doesn't make a trend but if the talent level is indeed increasing, we can expect more out-of-state teams coming in and offering HS players. On the plus side, there will be more top-shelf talent for BYU to recruit.

It's always great when a kid gets a college education doing what he loves.
