Utah gets crushed at home against OR in worst game of the season. Taking charge, Coach Kry announces that Utah will cancel game at OR. Player's safety includes their mental psyche and we refuse to put them through that again.

Coach Kry My Eyes Out is dead worried his team might break something in a game, like an arm, or a leg, or even into a sweat. They're all to be avoided.

He later alludes to safety being his inability to keep his own emotions in check, especially when it comes to seeing his own players perform poorly.

The real reason they lost is because all game long they kept hearing Oregon's cheerleaders yell "Go Ducks!" and the :utard: players kept ducking!

I'm not a lawyer, but it seems the state shouldn't be able to restrict free speech like this. Lawyers, what do you think?

So do the :utard: forfeit future games against Oregon State going forward (they can't cancel the games because of the conference), but what if that had been one of their players that was tripped. #SafetyFirst.

That's a far cry from not feeling safe after a little dust up with Emery. Tripping a guy while he's running down the court is potentially more dangerous than getting punched in the face by some skinny freshman.

Not a lawyer either, but I took several Communications Law courses as part of my major. Students have limited free speech rights and schools are allowed to enact policies that normally would be a violation of free speech. Schools have the right/responsibility to preserve student safety and create a productive learning environment. Sometimes, that means "free speech" takes a back seat.



If that weren't the case, there would be no dress codes, all sorts of unpunishable and dissruptive outbursts, uncensored pep rallies, school papers printing whatever they please, colorful yearbook expressions, and lots and lots of student protests for perceived slights.
