BYU @ Zags

The dawgs have come out very strong in the second half. If BYU didn't have so many TOs (common theme at BYU these days) they would probably be up by 10.



BYU is looking like the slower, less physical team.



Nick Emery has 3 pretty dumb fouls (dumb they were called, I thought he had good position each time)



BYU has not scored on ANY zag turnover.



Why doesn't BYU run the offense through Kyle davis. He's patient, he's a decent passer and if he needs to has the best post moves on the team.



KC having a doozy of a night, right along with Emery and Fischer. All three have stunk it up.

BYU o-fer from 3 (0-12). What do they say about living and dying.... can't remember.





BYU staying in this thing via FT line 11-11.

Chase Fischer about the only Coug having a decent game so far. BYU held tough in the 1st half, but unless they get real hot this is going to get out of hand.

Seljaas going to be a big contributor for years. Wish he could find the bottom of the net tonight from 3 though.



First half saw BYU with some old habits including fouling 90 feet from the basket which put the zags in the bonus quickly and they capitalized.



Going to be tough to get back in this one.

Refreshing to see a team that knows how to run an offense an create mismatches. I'm not talking about BYU. Few is a genius at this and wiltjer is benefiting. Wiltjer is a matchup nightmare though.



Also refreshing to see that someone scouted BYU so well. Announcers talked about it on the telegraphed emery pass, but the zags doing a lot of things right as far as BYU tendencies. They don't play tight man defense on non-3-point-shooters, they know BYU is going to struggle establishing an inside game and they've got back on defense. BYU WILL shoot themselves in the foot if they have to run an offense for more than 15 seconds as demonstrated by the TOs tonight.

Gut check time for BYU... We've seen this plenty of times, opponent builds a good sized lead, BYU shows some pride and fights back but can't... quite... break through that barrier and establish a lead and finish the game.



Should be a fun last 8 minutes.

This is now a game of stops, who gets more? Gonzaga has a 5 point advantage.

2 point game. 2 minutes left. BYU ball. Can BYU get a second half lead? or even tie?

I don't think I've seen our Cougs play with this much heart all season long. Gives me hope for the remainder of the year.

Nightmare scenario right here. 2 point lead with these FT shooters? I'm going to sweat this 24 seconds out!!!!!

Huge props to Nate Austin. He's not the most talented guy, but he plays with heart and hustle whenever he's on the floor.

Looks like this team is coming together. This was a huge win. Winning at Gonzaga is not an easy thing to do and BYU has done it 2 years in a row.

Totally agree. however, this is the worst Gonzaga has looked since Pangos was born. Without Wiltjer, this team is dead in the water. BYU just got a HUGE win on the road and unfortunately was beat by probably the best "team" in the WCC @SMC.



Al they can do is win at this point and hope for a split with SMC which would put BYU in first place in WCC as SMC already has a loss in conference play to pepperdine.



It's nice that BYU controlls their own destiny. Now just need to beat pepperdine!!! They've been a problem for BYU the last 2 years.

BYU is rising (I think). Gonzaga is definitely in rebuild right now. Trend is our friend right now.
