Committed to the Utes today. So cross him officially off the list. Some had speculated he would reconsider BYU with the coaching change.

Apparently he cited the "offensive stability" at Utah as a reason for going there.

Yep, 9 offensive coordinators in 11 seasons is the very definition of offensive stability.

A massive boulder at the bottom of the Marianas Trench and a dead embalmed body are also stable, but unlikely to do much.

I suspect that there is more to this story. I can understand his move to open up his recruitment due to his rising stock with big time programs. If he had selected Ohio St. or Florida, or the like, then, yeah, it would make sense. But to forgo those offers for the Utes? That does not compute. I wonder if this was another academic issue from a Snow College player, like Asiata and Lotuleilai, who both had initially wanted to go to BYU.

Yeah, he opens it up for commitment after hearing about Kalani, but then we no-show for 10 days with no O line coach.

I don't think you should rush the hiring of a coach just to get one recruit.

Theres more to it.

Besides, there wasn't a deadline. He could've waited for another week or two.

My guess, grades. But The former coaching staff totally blew his visit. Utah blew it out of the water. But, grades.

Absolutely, but we shouldn't be surprised if we lose a few recruits because we don't have a staff in place either.

Don't rush, but don't take too long.
