Toolson Out For Season

Medical reasons..

All I can find on this is that he is taking a medical leave of absence for an unspecified period of time. Probably not injury related or he would stay on the team and just be out for awhile. Maybe depression has crept back in? Wasn't he struggling with that when he went out on his mission? Hope he is able to get better quickly, I usually like his game.

They mention that Toolson is the 3rd guard leaving the team lately and mention Cooper Ainge. I must have missed that. Where did he go?



The linked article doesn't say he is out for the season, but is "taking a leave of absence". This is kind of crazy lately.

Maybe they need to talk Ainge and Calvert in to coming back. It's getting thin on the guard line. We are moving from a guard team to a forward team. What does next year look like?

Interesting timing with Calvert leaving.



nuk13, I also was just wondering if Calvert would come back. Is ainge gone? I didn't see that anyhwere but actually thought he was serviceable in his few minutes I saw him play.

Ainge was a walk on and supposedly left to focus on school. I assume Toolson will be back sometime, if not this year then next. Calvert could return, but doubt he gets any more time now than before. If he wants to be a starter or p,ay significant minutes, he still needs to transfer.

There are 7 guards listed on the roster - Toolson = 6. Guinn must be red shirting and Byiant has seen little floor time. We are another injury or transfer away from problems on the guard line.

Bryant can't play this year due to transfer rules.
