Here's a new one that SCARES me...

So at the HS B-ball game tonight I hear from a puke fan that always seems to know what's going on (seriously he somehow knows about every BYU coming and going before it's announced). And he claimed, with a sarcastic laugh, that Sitake is HC and Aaron Roderick will be the new OC! Seriously?!?!



I hope all who wanted Bronco gone are prepared to eat some serious crow if stuff like that goes down!

And will help Utah in the process by freeing up a spot for a QB coach that they desperately need.

Harding to OC is what I hear.

I should qualify that. I have heard the exact same rumor. I don't have any inside info.



I have also heard Holliday to the U is a possibility.

Yeah, kind of makes the "get rid of Bronco" talk seem silly, doesn't it?

If we replace Bronco with a bunch of utes, it is going to take me a long time to warm up to that.

What are you talking about these are both former BYU players! Kalani Sitake played fullback for BYU and graduated in 2000. Aaron Roderick played receiver for BYU and graduated in 1998. Yes they coach/coached at Utah but my hell everyone these are former BYU players! I keep hearing let's bring in this former player or that former player (Ty Detmer Chad Lewis) and they have exactly ZERO college football coaching experience. But now there's a rumor of 2 former BYU players with legit coaching and recruiting experience possible ready to come home and still people are not happy! Unbelievable!



And just so you know these two have been 2 of the strongest recruiters that Utah has had over the last 10 years. And don't judge Aaron to hard, there hasn't been a OC at Utah under KWhit that has been successful yet.

Completely agree. These 2 may lack experience at the HC/OC positions, but they still have high-level coaching experience, and are amazing recruiters. Hiring these BYU boys back home would also go a long way in repairing some alumni relationships, which have been damaged by Bronco's coaching tenure.

Sitake is a bad coach, he has proven that at OSU. Roderick is a ute, he played for BYU but proved that he is a ute when he accepted the receivers coaching position at BYU and then went back on his word to remain a ute. That showed his true colors and I would never accept him at BYU after that. Kwhit also played at BYU but he is also a true ute since he also spurned BYU for the coaching job up on the hill.

I think it has to do with Virginia needing to assuage their alumni and get recruiting going, so they needed to make an announcement. I am sure that Bronco would have preferred to wait until after the bowl game, but I think his hand was forced. BYU is being a little more accomodating with Ken because what difference does an announcement three days ago or Monday make? BYU is going to vet all the candidates, and just because they are waiting for Ken does not mean he will be the head coach. It just means they want to interview everyone before making a decision. The new HC is going to bring his guys (though I hope he picks up Holliday). And recruits, though a little bit anxious, aren't flipping right now. I am sure they are waiting to see who the HC and position coaches will be before they decide if they still want to come to BYU.



While Bronco and company are great people, playing for Virginia is not the same as playing for BYU. It is a different environment, and those that want to come to BYU won't confuse playing for an LDS coach for being in an LDS environment.

Bronco's regular season is over, Ken N's is not.

BYU fans are the only people that I have ever heard anyone say Kalani is a bad coach. The national media and college football experts all talk about how good a coach he is. But not BYU fans. Idk I'm no expert.



I have always wondered why Aaron did what he did. He did the same thing to Steve Sarkisian when he became the head coach at Washington. He offered Aaron a job he accepted it and then declined it and went back to Utah. But I've never heard him talk down or bad about BYU. Not like Kwhitt has, he seems to have a lot of animosity and anger towards BYU and I've never seen or heard that in Aaron. It worked out for him, if he had came to BYU he would have been fired with the others the next year.
