Poinsettia Bowl - Boise State (8-4) vs. Northern Illinois (8-5)

New Mexico Bowl - Arizona (6-6) vs. New Mexico (7-5)

Hawai'i Bowl - Cincinnati (7-5) vs. San Diego State (10-3)

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl - Akron (7-5) vs. Utah State (6-6)

Armed Forces Bowl - Cal (7-5) vs. Air Force (8-5)

NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl - Nevada (6-6) vs. Colorado State (7-5)

AutoNation Cure Bowl - San Jose State (5-7) vs. Georgia State (6-6)



The only P5 matchup is against a 6-6 Arizona team for New Mexico. Conference champ SDSU draws Cincinnati--who was 3rd place in their division.

From reading his statement it sounds like the conferences/bowl committees took the 5-7 teams eligible and used them to fill conference obligations as much as possible--and it came down to the 2 last kids picked to fill slots--Nevada and Colorado State. So they get to play each other. What a lousy inaugural Arizona bowl. Anyone still miss being part of that conference?

Air Force plays 7-5 Cal in Ft. Worth. That is the MWC's best bowl game and basically replaces the Las Vegas berth.



Those last two bowls are horrid. I believe this is 6-6 Georgia St.'s first bowl game ever. And, while I think we actually may see more intra-conference bowl games when conferences expand, in the current landscape, it's pretty pathetic (plus the Arizona Bowl game is only going to be available on the internet, I hear). They should switch the game to Ft. Collins or Reno...

I just want some bowl games to hurry up and start already (I know, we're not technically out of the regular season with Army v Navy and all). I just want some more football! Let's get these games going!
