Which schedule would lead to the most wins most years?

I know I should probably let it go, but I can't.

"most years" is where there's no argument.



Wyoming just beat the 2nd best team in the WAC



Air Force would beat any of those teams



UNLV could, but wouldn't



CSU UNM and SDSU have more football history the last 30 years than all 8 of those teams combined

I don't think BYU would lose to any team on either list most years. So then it question is one of basic numbers.



A six team list versus an eight team list.

SDSU was looking REALLY good the last half of the year, I think they will be in top 5 of the MWC next year.

How do those schools in the WAC recruit?

Ahhh back when my Teachers adviser played Ball for USU, he said the ONLY thing was, A they played BYU, and the biggest was, they play Hawaii, and have their bye week the next week, and spend a week in Hawaii.

Sorry, it cut off my question for length, and I forgot to explain to ignore the fact that there aren't the same amount of teams. Probably doesn't make a difference. Playing USU 18 times would be easier than playing the 6 MWC teams listed.

BYU is 29-1 against the MWC teams in the poll since Bronco became head coach. Can't get much easier than that.



Excluding BYU's success, I think the WAC schedule is easier.

I will be the obvious naysayer here because I cant let it go either... :)



Before we crack on the WAC too much, we do play UNR next year, and they could be good, and we could be down a little bit.



Also, we do have a nice history of losing to Hawaii (even when we are good).



So, based on our history we seem to have done better against MWC teams than WAC teams. So, I would think we would actually struggle more with the WAC schedule than the MWC one... ;)

Wyoming who we have KILLED the past 2 years.... BEAT #2 in the WAC...I MEAN WEAK...

Yeah, and Wyoming could be good with a more seasoned quarterback and an extra year under their HC's belt, and we could plain suck. :skeptic:

Really? When was the last time we played Hawaii? 2002? Since 1980, the Cougars are 16-4 against the 'Bows. If you want to cherry pick and just go back far enough to count the four losses to Hawaii, the Cougs are 8-4 against the 'Bows. How is that a "nice history of losing to Hawaii"? You really want to go back to the 90's to prove how tough the WAC teams are today? Boy, that Boise State blew goats in the 90s, they must really suck now!

What history? Under Bronco Mendenhall, the Cougars are undefeated against the WAC. Conversely he has lost 6 game to the MWC, including a loss to lowly SDSU.

BYUtx has never said that those teams are good. All he is saying is that they are better than the dregs of the WAC.



What's funniest about your indignation is this: even after all this blathering, not one soul (yourself included) has voted for the MWC option as an easier path.
