The goals for BYU are:



1. To win as many games as possible

2. To achieve the highest ranking possible

3. To play the best bowl team possible

4. To be better than Utah



If you want to see these goals accomplished here is your rooting guide:



A. Cheer for BYU. Duh.



BYU over Utah St.



B. Cheer for the team playing Utah. Because there is no reason to cheer for Utah



Colorado over Utah



C. Cheer for BYU’s opponents. This helps SOS which does help our overall ranking



East Carolina over Cincinnati (ECU becomes bowl eligible with a win)

Fresno St. over Colorado St.

Michigan over Ohio St.

Missouri over Arkansas

Nebraska over Iowa (Best case scenario for BYU is for Nebraska to win this game and be bowl eligible and MSU win out and win the Big 10)

San Jose St. over Boise St. (SJSU becomes bowl eligible with a win)

UCLA over USC

UConn over Temple



D. Cheer for teams playing teams ranked ahead of BYU unless it allows the Big 12 champ to get into the playoff. Also, cheer for unranked teams vs. ranked teams. If both teams are ranked cheer for the team with more probable losses in their future (Of course rules A-C trump rule D).



#1 Clemson over South Carolina

#2 Alabama over Auburn

#5 Michigan St. over Penn St.

#6 Notre Dame over #9 Stanford

#19 TCU over #7 Baylor

#11 Oklahoma St. over #3 Oklahoma

#12 Florida over #13 Florida St.

#14 North Carolina over North Carolina St.

#15 Navy over Houston

Illinois over #16 Northwestern

#17 Oregon over Oregon St.

#18 Ole Miss over #21 Miss St.

#20 Washington St. over Washington

Western Michigan over #24 Toledo



E. Cheer for teams playing teams that could eventually be ranked ahead of BYU (unless it violates rules A-D).



Miami over Pitt

Georgia Tech over Georgia

Minnesota over Wisconsin

Vanderbilt over Tennessee

Marshall over Western Kentucky

New Mexico over Air Force

New Mexico St. over Arkansas St.

Texas A&M over LSU



F. Root for the best bowl matchup. We will play a Pac-12 team in Vegas or an AAC team in Hawaii (unless it violates rules A-E)



South Florida over UCF

Tulane over Tulsa (We do not want to play a 6-6 Tulsa in Hawaii)

Memphis over SMU

Cal over Arizona St.



G. Root for the weakening of the Big 12 to keep them out of the playoff and move them toward expansion (unless it violates rules A-F)



Texas over Texas Tech

Iowa St. over West Virginia

Kansas over Kansas St.



H. It really doesn't matter



All other games.

Go Commodores! I'm callin the win over Tennessee! And I think Houston will take Navy, and Michigan can take tOSU. Alabama Auburn rivalry is a toss-up.TCU will rock Baylor.

In a miserable, wet weather, wind chill subfreezing, lightning delayed game , TCU beats Baylor in double overtime. 28 - 21.



Seems like Baylor ain't making it to any playoffs. :crazy:
