BoiseBYUThere were some real contenders this week for the coveted bottom five. So much so that the Bottom Five had to go to the computers--the same ones that think Alabama should be in the mix. The algorithms churned and here is the answer. But first the runner ups
5. Utah. As in the State of. USU lost; BYU lost, U of U lost (**SAFE ZONE EDIT**), and even the team from Cedar City lost. But you did get some nice snow I hear, so there is that.
4. Yale Wussies. Students there are upset that someone might wear a sombrero as part of a Halloween costume and this would trigger trauma and invade their "safe zone." Heaven help this nation. If the wusses want to really discuss trauma and tragedy, ponder the starving child in Ethipia, the drowned child in the Mediterrean, the aborted child in China, but spare me rolling and crying on the campus green and being all upset that someone wearing a pirate eye patch might upset...pirates or people who wear patches!
3. Peyton Manning. After throwing four interceptions in a little over half the game, he was pulled to "protect him." Yikes how fast the mighty have fallen. Great great QB but you got to know when to fold them....
1. (tie) BSU and Ronda Rousey. The Broncos were favored by thirty points at home against the NM Lobos. Rousey was favored to win her match in under 30 seconds. Ooooops. BSU went out of its way to clinch its place by playing poorly the whole game--they had four turnovers and first burned in some big plays etc...but on the last play, needing a TD to send the game to overtime, they tried a combination lateral, hook and ladder and it worked for 57 yards. Problem is they needed 60 yars. So they came up 3 yards short. The crowd was going crazy until it wasn't. What a dagger to what has turned into an awful year for them. And this is a team with a Yale-like wussie schedule. And as for Rousey? She apparently took a beating. It was not some rogue kick that did her in. Sort of like Mike Tyson losing to who was it Douglas? A real shocker....
Special shout out to the cheaters from Moscow. There is no truth to the rumors that Lance Armstrong is going to try and join the Russian cycling team....
