Tough break, makes you put things in perspective. Definitely has the chance to be a unifying force to the team or a further distraction.

This guy effectively resigned the day he backed his players' strike publicly. Maybe his health issue made that decision easier for him--"What are they gonna do? Fire me three games earlier than I would be quitting?"

Feel for the guy. Did they really need more chaos this week? Maybe he needed to unify the divisions.

Coach has done a lot for MU. We wish him well and pray for him. He was backed into a corner by gullible wisdomless players. Tough spot.

I don't envy the coach that has to take his place.



The PR professional in me likes the timing of the announcement. It takes attention away from the controversy and unites his team, which according to some reports is a bit divided right now. The team will now be "playing for Pinkel" and rally as opposed to getting side tracked. Touche, Pinkel.
