Missouri President Tim Wolfe has resigned

Amid criticism and striking due to racial issues on campus Tim Wolfe has resigned, apparently clearing the way for the BYU - Missouri game to proceed.

Pres. Wolfe should have not caved to the looney cry baby left. I hope he got a huge severance package.

BYU needs to go 59-0 on Mizzou this week. Beating them isn't enough. They need to dismantle them.

I don't blame the guy one bit for getting out of Dodge alive. In this craziness of the PC world we live in today and social media, and the media just craving to fuel the fire of stories like this 24/7, who in their right mind would want to subject themselves to all of that? Cut your losses and take your buyout and run. The guy will land on his feet in another academic setting having taken the "high road" in this instance in the eyes of many. I am thinking he realized that this wasn't going to go away quietly and he was willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the whole university. Crazy world we live in today.

Oh joy, I get to go to my game now. I would have preferred that the pres stuck to his guns and Mizzou forfeit the game and me be out of my money for the tickets and hotel than for him to give in to these terrorists/whiners/brats.

You're lucky - a reasonable man (Pres. Tim Wolfe) decided to take the golden handshake and walk away from the crazies. Otherwise, the loonies would have burned Mizzou to the ground Smart man!!!!!!

What does that mean for the choice of BYU uniforms at the game? Are we still going to wear white jerseys? If so, will the Mizzou players demand that we admit white privilege before they are willing to play us? Will the refs avoid having to admit white privilege due to their uniforms being half black? :~( These are difficult times .... :sick:

That won't happen. Not with this team.

Well we definitely can't lose. With all that's transpired with our opponent, a loss would not only be humiliating, it would be all the more noticed by the national media.



The rust SHOULD be off. We SHOULD have most of our players back from injury. We SHOULD be the more focused and prepared team for obvious reasons. And though it's an SEC team, it's a 4-5 SEC team that has had huge distractions and less time to prepare.



I'm not saying we have to blow them out, especially when we just managed to beat San Jose State by the slimmest of margins, but there is and will be NO EXCUSE for a loss.

He should sue the athletic program for all they got for forcing him out over nothing.

I really fear this is a lose, lose scenario for BYU. If they win, it is expected they win and they won't get as much credit for the win because Missouri had "too many injustices" to worry about than a dumb football game.



If they lose, then all the media will be all over how BYU lost to a team that didn't even have time to practice for the game, because of all the "injustices" they had to worry about so therefore BYU isn't a very good team.

I completely expect that card to come out soon from Missouri. Perhaps they can boycott the game until all BYU players over 23 agree not to play!

First of all, I cannot put into words, how disgusted I am that these racist pinks got their way in Columbia. Would they force out the school president if a black guy drove by off campus and yelled "Honkey?" Sounds ridiculous in reverse, doesn't it? What if some obscure white dude started starving himself because some black guy called his bro a "honkey?" The dreaded "H" word! Well, ridiculous as that sounds, it happens much more often to whites, from blacks, and guess what? NO ONE CARES. I still don't get how a University can be held hostage by an idiot, because he voluntarily goes hungry. It's like a spoiled child holding his breath.



What a horribly foolish and ill-advised decision it was for the University to practice appeasement to bullies that came to school just to cause trouble. Mizzou is in big trouble, having opened Pandora's Box. But, sadly, it is not just one school that will suffer over this. This huge blunder will inspire a tidal wave of similar events by racist agitators at all levels of education and workplace across the Country. CommieBama and community organizers everywhere will be very pleased.

I'm glad the teams are playing. Like has been said, BYU needs to handle this team easily in order to earn respect for the win. As far as politics is concerned. the School president did the only thing he could do. he would have been fired if he hadn't resigned.

About the game!



I am not worried that Mizzou will get any positive energy out of this boycott business. I know that the punks on the team are going to be celebrating, but there should be plenty of distraction and loss of team unity for them. Remember the anonymous team member that said (paraphrasing) "The whole team does not agree with the boycott. A lot of us, black and white, are really pissed about this."



Well, I would bet that the loyal team members are still "pissed," and will continue to be "pissed" by game day. They won't be as unified as usual. The boycotting twerps will be show-boating, rather than focussing on assignments against the Cougs at Arrow Head.



I think their defense will continue to be fairly stout, but I doubt that they will put up more than two full-field drives on us. I think our Cougs will hold them to under 18 offensive points while scoring 35 for us. It could end up being a bigger blow out, but that is my conservative prediction. I think the Cougs are better than the last trap game would indicate, and that they will be back in full man-power and full form for this one. Last week was not a glamor game. This one definitely is.

BYU wins and it will because Mizzou was distracted and had larger issues to deal with.



Mizzou wins and it will be because they rallied together and won one for equality.



Either way, this weekend isn't about BYU. I hope we win because it will take some luster off Mizzou, it's an SEC team, and at the end of the season it looks good.

Wow. Some of you are wrapped up in how BYU looks. That became irrelevant after loss two. Just get the win! And hope that this hasn't unified the team.
