Next year, would you rather see...

Pros and cons to both options.



Would you prefer to sacrifice a year of Heaps' eligibility but have him gain a year of experience OR have more experienced QB's struggle through a mediocre season?

What in heaven or hell makes you think Heaps will lead us only to a 7-5 ? and any other QB could lead us to 8-4??

If those are your only two options, which would you rather see?

For a freshman QB, a very young defense (losses of Jorgenson, Tialavea, Johnson, Clawson, Bauman, and more), Unga possibly going pro, Tonga gone, Pitta, George gone, and the above schedule, I'd say 7-5 wouldn't seem too far off. So under heaven and above hell, what should we expect? 11-2?

Picked the 8-4 season because I'd rather see BYU win more. I want the QB that is going to help us win the most games.

Yes!



If the Yewts can go 10-3 with a true freshman qb (that wasn't even very highly recruited) after losing most of their coaching staff and their star RB and after years of recruiting classes that were far inferior to ours, we should be able to go 11-2, easily.

The Utes went 3-2 with a true freshman QB. They went 7-1 with a JUCO transfer junior.

Since I had to pick one, I went with 8-4. Give Heaps a chance to redshirt and learn about the next level and give another stellar qb the chance to take us to a good season.



However, I think that Bronco's system is better than that and we are looking at a nine or ten win season next year.

Wynn would have gone 7-1 in those games as well (look at the schedule). Even still BYU should easily best the Yewts 10-3 with a D-1 (or whatever it's called) transfer RM with an added year in the program and/or a true freshmen (that happens to be the #1 qb recruit).

Our schedule next year is tougher than what Utah had this year. This is a tough question. I would rather win more games and play the QB that would do that. However what impact would it have to have Heaps in there and have success? Would it lead to an even better recruiting class next year? If that was the case I would go for what is best for the future.
