Norm Chow fired.

Looks like Norm Chow is out at Hawaii, effective immediately.



I wonder if after the season, they'll look at Robert Anae or maybe Kalani Sitake.

They almost hired Sitake the last time. I'm not sure they'll be able to get anyone worth a darn with the talk of closing the program down.

Norm Chow is a bad head coach. You can tell a good coach because teams will make immediate improvements with the hire. Hawaii got worse after Norm took over. Everyone that wanted Norm after Crowton was fired are lucky they didn't get their wish.

Norm Chow is 69 years old. I bet he calls it quits - it's a tough grind. Time to enjoy the family and the sunsets. Hawaii is a tough place for anyone to succeed. All the top tier athletes head to the mainland. Always have. Always will.

Surprisingly a good coordinator doesn't always make a slam dunk head coach. I wonder if there's a lesson in that.

I just hope this means that we see more BYU v. Hawaii games on future schedules. It would be nice to convince Hawaii to go independent to save their program (play more BYU and PAC teams, as opposed to MWC schedule). BYU v. Hawaii on the first weekend of December sounds good to me.
