I still had the belief that we had a slight chance to reach a NY6 bowl, but last week just murdered that.



If Nebraska beat Northwestern they likely go to a bowl. Beating a bowl eligible P5 team on the road would have been a real shot in the arm in BYU's resume. Now with Michigan St. and Iowa on the schedule a bowl seems unlikely for Nebraska.



East Carolina needed to beat Temple.



If Utah St. ran the table before playing us, they likely would be ranked going into our game. That was crushed on Saturday.



Missouri could not lose to Vandy for the same reason Nebraska couldn't lose to NW.



Now the only committee impressing win was and is BSU. We needed 1-2 more to give us a fighting chance. Oh well, we should have a good opponent in our bowl game.

Nebraska has got to be so frustrated. Here are their 5 losses:

BYU 33 - 28 Nebraska

Miami 36 - 33 Nebraska

Illinois 14 - 13 Nebraska

Wisconsin 23 - 21 Nebraska

Northwestern 30 - 28 Nebraska



5 losses by a total of 13 points.

Sounds like a team that's on the cusp of pulling it together and becoming really good, but just needs to mature and figure out how to win those games

Yea, we really needed Nebraska and Missouri to win.



But, frankly, USU winning does little to help us. There's no way we want them to play for the MWC title. We need to get that series back to a 2-for-1.



ECU was close to pulling the upset over Temple - But, for me, that's not a big deal because I am a fan of the American conference. I would love to see the AAC finish with 3 or 4 ranked teams this year.

I would rather see BYU play Utah St. in Provo than Logan.
