byufan4everFiveThirtyEight has developed an algorithm called CARMELO that they are using to project the careers of players (or identify similar players) as well as NBA starting line-up and playing time. Go here for the nitty gritty on how it works:

I'm a Spurs fan so this interested me, but I was surprised that they are putting Jimmer at 20% playing time at SG. I think it's a bit high, but I hope he gets it.
They also have other stuff like projecting the rookies (this was before the draft) and what % they'll be a star/start/role player/bust. What do you guys think about CARMELO (stupid name)? Which players did you look up and who are they linked to?
