FidoI came across this article and it is interesting to me to read some of these notes 1/3 of the way into the season:

That sure didn't pan out as planned.
I had forgotten Wagner was a result of the last minute schedule shuffle to land Missouri in November and push UNLV to 2017.
This interested me because we haven't pulled this off since being independent. I guess the academies don't have many OOC games to give up so maybe that is why.
That certainly turned into quite an experience for fans and players alike.
I had not remembered this story--but that is pretty cool.
- Tom Holmoe said he put together the 2015 schedule with Taysom Hill and Jamaal Williams as seniors in mind.

- Holmoe explained his gratitude to Wagner for slotting in to BYU's schedule late, because it allowed the Cougars to schedule a series with a big-name opponent (which was Missouri).

- In general football scheduling, Holmoe said BYU really wants military academy games. BYU will play them in Ireland, the Bahamas, wherever. He just really wants to play games against the academies.

- Holmoe explained his experience playing at Nebraska when he was the head coach at Cal. He said it is an experience you just have to experience in person. The Huskers have sold out 340 consecutive games since 1962, and he described people will tailgate and sit in lawn chairs outside the stadium knowing full well they won't get in the game, they just want to be there.
That certainly turned into quite an experience for fans and players alike.
- Hosts Jarom Jordan and Spencer Linton told Holmoe about twitter user @TXColonel dropping $10,000 to buy a whole section of Arrowhead Stadium for BYU fans, and he's already sold out and been paid back by interested fans. Holmoe indicated he would try to set up a meeting or meal of some kind between @TXColonel, himself, and Andy Reid, BYU alum and coach of the Chiefs.
