BoiseBYUDoomsdayers saw it coming: Sunday would be the end of the world as we know it; upset and upheaval, confusion and disruption. Problem is, they got it wrong. It was not blood moon Sunday. No the end of the world was Saturday, centered in Ann Arbor, and it earns our first ranking:
5. 9/26/15 BYU offense. When you have only one more completion than punts, and when you struggle to break 100 yards a game, well, it was a bad game. Time to put it in the bottom 5 and then flush it down the toilet.
4. Pac 12 home field advantage. Every Pac 12 home team lost and it wasn't even close! Well WA only lost by a TD but everyone else got pounded. A special shout out goes to the Oregon Sucks defense. They did something heretofore thought impossible-- they made Utah's offense look good. A special special shout out to Kwit for not going for the onside kick up 55-20. Sportsmanship starts at the top is what I always say.
3. Idaho State. They lost on the road. No shame in that. They only scored 8 points. Again, no shame in that. What gets them on this week's list and bumps the Idaho Vandals off (voting rules only lets a State have one entry), is that they lost to UNLV, giving up 80 points. Apparently Kwit Jr. coaches the Rebels now.
2. SE Missouri. They lost to Shorter 26-21. SHORTER! How do you lose to a university that is shorter than you? Sigh. Probably lose to Slower next week. If they do so help me they vault to number one!
1. But this week's number one goes to a team that is finding new and improved ways to lose, and that is the TX Long-In-Toothorns. First they lost the typical way getting blasted by ND. Then they confused us by beating Rice. Last week they botched an extra point with seconds left to lose their game, and this week their punter (a separate guy) dropped a punt snap with, again, seconds left to then let OK State kick a field goal with 4 seconds left for the win. Ouch. What will they do for an encore?
Special commendations: WY has now lost seven straight games over the past two years. They lost to NM at Laramie and it wasn't even snowing.
Luckiest team around: TCU tipped pass in back of end zone for TD saves frogs in win over TX Tech.
Does not like relief pitchers either: Bryce Harper said he does not like BYU. Yesterday he got in a fight in his own dugout with one of his own teammates. Good thing the Pope didn't show up for the game. Who knows what Harper would've done! Cheers!
