BoiseBYUNick Saban is not loved. Between Auburn's 109 yard TD return of a couple of years ago and Ole Miss's Hail Mary tip bobble and catch for six, it's clear Nicholas Saban is unbeloved. And it couldn't happen to a more unbelovable guy! So let's put Nick at
5. Coach Saban. He has masterfully lost some games in more amazing ways than one can imagine. What will Nick do for an encore? And if he's such a great recruiter, why is AL's best receiver a transfer from Oregon State?
4. Idaho Vandals had an epic season in store and they then go and win, barely, but nonetheless win, defeating the mighty Wofford whoever.
3. Coaches poll. Let's see, BYU plays a top ten team on the road and loses by one point. Auburn, after needing to go to overtime over Jacksonville State last week, gets creamed on the road against number 14 LSU. So what happens? Coaches vote out BYU. Auburn pussy cats still in the top 25.
2. Texas is taking losing to newer heights. They rally to score a potentially game tying TD late in the 4th quarter only to totally miss the extra point. Longhorns are really long in the tooth now.
1. Seattle Seahawks. Lost their last three games and Aaron Rodgers says God favors the Pack and if Rodgers said it, well it must be so, and if that is so, well then the Seabirds are in deep trouble.
So the Bottom Five has decided to join a movement, indeed THE movement, namely acknowledging that it and it alone cost us the UCLA game. The Bottom 5 confesses. It failed to wear its lucky hat! By the time The Bottom 5 remembered, it was Fourth and Seven. IF only BYU had a timeout to spare and had called it, Bottom Five could have dashed to the bedroom, got the lucky hat, and been ready for magic III. Alas it was not to be.
Well, here's to this week being a renewal of magic! And you can be sure the lucky hat will be worn! Cheers!
