Utah vs Cal

I figured with this game starting in the next little bit, I will start a game thread, and I added a poll, who do you want to win.



I can't wait for this game, mostly because I want more football, but also if the MWC sweeps their bowl games, we will gain a lot of respect, ESPN is saying PAC10>SEC this year, so with our blowout of OSU, things are looking good.

I always root against the utes. They will probably win though. They seem to have the ability to step up their play and roll teams in bowl games.

I don't want :utard: to win, I want Cal to lose. If Cal wins, I'll enjoy the moment of :utard: losing to an inferior team. :D

I'm going to root for the game. I hope it's a good one. This bowl is so insignificant, not much more insignificant than the LV bowl, that I don't think a W or L by Utah matters at all by Friday. I'll be happy if the MWC wins out, but I'll be smiling big time if the utes lose.

The more legit top 25 teams BYU beats, the better. If Utah wins they will finish in the top 25. I'm hoping for a 5-0 MWC bowl season along with a 5-2 Pac-10 bowl season. WESTSIDE!!!!

agreed. Having Utah as a top 25 team will help us finish the year in the top 10.



And having the MWC go 5-0 in bowl games with 3 teams in the top 25 the year before a possible auto-AQ bid will only add to the fire when we're denied.



Besides, Utah has a decent team this year for a 'rebuilding' year.

Utah is making a nice rally after dropping behind 14-0. Score is now Cal 14 - Utah 10.

Utah 17 - Cal 14. Utah is looking quite good on defense now. Playing very fast. They've taken the mo.

Wow :utard: is playing really good now, got down 14-0 now up 23(pat pending)-14, they have held Cal to only 8 yards in the 2nd WOW.



Anyhow, they had Mike Stoops on, and he said he would be in favor of the MWC becoming a BCS conf, he said they have proven their top end, can beat the BCS top end.

When Utah went down 14-0, that wasn't cal being good, that was utah sucking. Cal is awful, and if Utah loses that'll be so nasty-good job they've taken the lead. Utah shouldn't be bragging about this game, but of course they will think this renews bragging rights for some reason.

gotta give it to the :utard:s they turned what was about to be a blowout into a dominating half of exerting their will on the bears.

They have no bragging rigths. They lost the Holy War and didn't beat a single ranked team all season. And they failed to finish 1st or 2d in the MWC for the fourth out of five seaons since Kwhit and Bronco became head coaches.

I heard that Whittingham, in an attempt to motivate Wynn, threatened to change the name on his jersey to "Luze" for the rest of his time at the U if he broke the U's bowl win streak.

Agreed. ESPN is really milking the 3-0 MWC bowl record right now. That is REALLY good press and is why I cheered (gulp) for Utah. I don't think Air Force has a realistic shot at beating Houston, but if they can contain the passing game and dominate possession, the MWC could finish 5-0 in the bowls which would be HUGE for our BC$ AQ status.

I was very happy to see Utah win this game. It's good for the MWC which makes it good for BYU.

Jordon Wynn is a very good player, I was impressed with his play, especially his poise coming back after the pick 6. He's gonna be tough to play against the next 2 or 3 years.

I do, Houston is one of the worst Rush D's in the nation, and AFA is one of the BEST Rushing teams in the nation, they also are in the top 10 I think of Pass D.

Air Force will have their hands full trying to defend that air attack. Hopefully the extra prep time will help them prepare for it. A win would be huge for the conference.
