Domination? Report Card Confirms

This was funny for me. I have never seen a post-game report card like this.

OSU got DOMINATED.

Dominated? I was thinking more like decimated.

Punting was ravaged by the wind. Johnny Hekker had a horrible game, but it wasn't his fault. The return and coverage teams had trouble.



This one made me laugh, I guess it was hard to defend those 6 yard punts!! :D



This is a brutal report card, if you look at the stats, they were basically dead even, perhaps it is from the embarrassment of losing big to a lesser conference.

One of the key plays of the game will not show up on the stat sheet, and it could have swung momentum to OSU. remember the Chambers punt fumble OSU recoverd on the goal line? Would have been 14-14. Brought back due to a hold. BYU got some real breaks early and made the most of them.

What a homer! I'd have given the line play, coaching, and special teams Fs! Heck I'd have given them all Fs and for the Rogers' brothers' leotards and big fat redo :lol:

Did you not see the replay or the play itself?



If that OSU player hadn't held the BYU player, there is no doubt that he would have blocked the punt. In fact, I think the OSU player knew this and did it on purpose to prevent more damage from happening... sort of like in basketball when a player fouls their opponent to stop them from getting an easy layup.

Yeah, it's only a break for BYU in the sense that refs usually miss/ignore that blatant of a call when it falls in BYU's favor, and for once they did the right thing.

Sean Canfield, nowhere near his efficient self, had his worst day since his sophomore year. He was either too safe or too risky.

Either too safe or too risky. I guess that's the converse of being not safe enough or not risky enough. Trouble is, there's nothing helpful about this analysis.

Canfield couldn't throw down field due to the horrendous wind, and wasn't accurate enough to connect on short passes against BYU's linebackers and secondary who were able to press once they realized the Beaves weren't going to present a deep threat.

I thought they were generous in giving them D's. That's a passing grade in most schools and once BYU scored to open the 2d half, the game was over except for the final score and the Beaver players knew it. That's a solid F in my book.



But then again, D for Dominated works too. ;) The writer must have lurked on CB and saw my post about total domination by the Cougars. :)
