I was optimistic and in the 4-0 camp until halftime on Saturday. 4-0 is possible, but I think we will miss Taysom.

As stuck just pointed out on the other thread, tanner has only thrown 11 passes so far. We know he can pitch and catch but that's really about it. He was very good but I'm not sure if we saw who tanner really is yet. I kind of think we saw what tanner can be.



Oh and UCLAs passing game and our D is a terrifying combo.



3-1 would be a huge success

I'm still in the 3-1 camp. I don't think we'll beat UCLA. If we do, then I'm in the 12-0 playoffs camp!

With the knowledge that I have (or don't have) today, I picked 2-2. If Tanner comes out and looks awesome against BSU, then I might want to change my vote.

My vote will definitely change right after the Michigan game.

Things that need to happen if we're going to beat UCLA:

1) Bronco finds a way to get consistent pressure on the QB rushing 4-5

2) Rosen starts playing like a typical freshman and can't expose our secondary

3) Tanner Mangum is the greatest QB in BYU history and puts up insane amounts of yards and points to win in a shootout.



Unfortunately, I think #3 is our most likely option at this point, but I'll be hoping that it does. 28/35 for 351 and 3 TDs does not bode well for us, even if UVA had terrible pass defense.

BYU traditionally beats UCLA 59-0. I'm not worried about that game at all.

That was the giggliest 2nd Q of any game I have ever seen. It was like a touchdown for BYU every few minutes.

The thing was that there was no scoring in the 4th quarter--all that happened in the first 3 quarters. My daughter was at the game, and she went home after the 3rd. She said UCLA looked like whipped dogs who didn;t want to be in Utah any longer.

That was one of those games where I just started feeling sorry for the other team. Then I remembered how UCLA beat BYU in the 80s and I was over it. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil:
