Let's hear the excuses for BYU's win.......

I am just wondering when the excuses will start coming in as to why BYU beat OSU last night so I thought I would start the thread just to get it going. (come on Rasta, don't let us down.) ;)



1. OSU isn't use to playing football in such bad weather.

2. There were way more BYU fans than OSU fans so it was unfair.

3. OSU heard what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, so they didn't think anybody would know if they won.

4. OSU couldn't play against someone who has so much hate.

5. BYWho?

6. OSU wasn't use to playing on such a big stage.



The thing that impressed me the most with this win, unlike the excuses made for the Oregon game 3 years ago, was OSU was playing as hard as they could the entire game and didn't roll over, so very impressive win for BYU.

The only reason why BYU won was because God loves them better. 'nuf said.

7. OSU wasn't living right off the field.

8. Harline's still open.

For their part, OSU seems to be giving BYU credit. This quote by their OG seems to sum up the comments of the Beavers across the board:



"Emotionally, we were ready for this game," offensive guard Gregg Peat said. "Credit BYU. They came ready to play. They are a great football team, obviously. There's no excuse for the loss. We got beat and that's it."

9. OSU was still upset about the civil war loss and not making the Rose Bowl, so they didn't really care about this game

10. The refs scored all of BYU's points

11. The Rodger's brothers had to watch both their parents get torn to pieces by a real life cougar on a family hiking trip when they were younger, and playing the Cougars just brought back too painful of memories

12. BYU had 13 men on the Field, because God sent the north wind.

I'm glad this worked because I would have hated to see the swarm of locusts and all the Vegas water turning to blood.

They took coaching advice from Mike Bellotti.

They were mad that the TV announcers kept mistakenly and confusingly referring to them as "the Ducks"...

"It has nothing to do with the Oregon game," [Oregon State] linebacker Keith Pankey said. "For anyone to think it has anything to do with that, it's foolhardy. We've always been able to look past what happened. We get better from it and move on. We moved on. We'll do the same here."
